I've recently bought a one-bed flat in London and am having some enginereed solid oak flooring done in the hallway and living room.
There is already a laminate floor in the living room that I'm having removed. In my lease it says that only wall-to-wall carpets are allowed or other coverings that ensure a suitable insulation. Nowhere did it expressely say that no wood floors are allowed....
So, I'm thinking, what's the worst that can happen? I'll be living here for the forseeable future and when it's time to move I suppose I could always remove the lovely wooden floor and lay some 'wall-to-wall' carpets when i decide to sell the flat...
Does anyone have any similar experiences with this, and what difference does it make, whether it's laminate or solid oak?
