Replacing Loft Tank

Post by winter36 » Wed Jun 27, 2007 11:25 am

Hi our old tank has developed a leak and we are on a tight budget, we wish to replace this ourselves with a plastic one, however it is an issue on how to get this into the loft, so can i use a smaller tank or do i need to use one of the same capacity as the leaky one. its a standard 3 bed council bought home.

Purchase a coffin tank or circular one, the circular one can be rolled up onto itself and persuaded to go through a small hole. Not a big job but pipe sizes can be a problem, metric to imperial.
