That wont be sufficient as the moisture will rise up through the floor and it will be uneven.
The only thing to do is replace the part of the floor that is missing.
The area will require the following :-
1. 4 inches of harcore at least, (scalpings or similar), and compacted using a compactor.
2. then, screeded over with sand.
3. then install a plasic membrane to prevent the damp from rising.
4. then at least 4 inches of concrete on top and leveled.
5. you could also get it screeded but it depends on the finish that you require. 2 inches at least.
You would have to remove the earth to a sufficent level to acheive the correct finished level.
