Laying solid floor on Concrete and floorboards -bump at join

Post by davidaahenderson » Wed Dec 08, 2010 8:18 pm

I want to use solid wood flooring to cover a large room, but it is two rooms knocked into one, with one concrete floor and one wood floor boards. The is a bump as the concrete rises slightly to meet tohe fllor boards which have also be lifted to meet the concrete, I think there may be a wall underneath.

What is the best way of leveling the floor?

Covering the whole thing in ply?

Thanks
