Linking a timed extractor fan to a shower pump

by ian d jones » Tue Jun 26, 2007 10:59 pm

Normally extractor fans in bathrooms are connected to the light switch so that they come on when the light is switched on and then runs on for a time after the light is switched off.
Is it possible to connect a timed extractor fan to a shower pump so that it only operates when the shower is used not when the lights are switched on. I still want it to run on for a while after the shower / pump is turned off.

Hi Ian,
theoreticaly quite possible but practically difficult due to fusing down and not mixing circuits, it would need a part P sparks with some experience anyway
