Our 2 sons recently removed all of the coals from our gas fire. I didn't realise they had to go back in any particular order and after our carbon monoxide alarm went off today we have realised this is in fact very important! Unfortunately the previous owners of the house didn't leave any instruction manuals for the fire so we have no idea how to put them back. I have searched online under the make and model of the fire, without success. Does anyone have any suggestions? We are a bit cold now!
If you give the make and model someone might be able to help - putting the coals in the wrong place will cause the fire to soot up - however if Co alarm was activated you need an RGI to check - as it's probably more than just the coals being in the wrong place.
