Stair Lighting

by chris Jones » Wed Jan 12, 2011 10:11 am

Hello All, Sorry this has probably been covered to death on lighting before. I recently replaced a double switch in the reception hall that controlled the two downstairs hall lights and the second switch is used to turn ON/Off the light at the landing. Unfortunately I have mixed up the wires for switching on the Hall double switch, I Cant turn off landing light from top of the stairs switch, this has to be done from the hall. The Switch upstairs I believe to be wired correctly, (simple swap) I'm Desperate for a wiring guide or better still diagram for this configuration. Your help will be gratefully received.
Thanks in advance Chris.

This might sort it for you:
Google "tlc-direct.co.uk/Technical/DataSheets/MK/WiringDiagrams.pdf"
Chances are you want the "Two-way switching 3 wire control" diagram.
