Tumble Dryer - not heating

by Nonplumber » Sun Jan 16, 2011 10:38 am

Hi, my tumble dryer has stopped heating. This followed an incident when one of my little darlings put a load of washing in there which had not been spun in the washer so I came in and found the tumble drum with about 5" of water in it. Great. What might need to be repaired or is it new machine?

Could be a fault in the controls that deliver power to the element or could be the element itself.

On my tumble drier there is a reset button at the back. If the air could not circulate due to the water the over heat trip at back may have tripped.
