[quote="misterg"]Hi
Is there any best practise in wiring sockets back to back?
They will be separated by a noggin in a lath and plaster wall. Both will be attached to the same noggin one on either side, in two differnt bedrooms.
Should i just drill a hole through the noggin and use a very short piece of cable, or loop over or under the noggin. Or even down to floor level under the wall and up again?
Cheers

IF U DRILL CAREFULL Y THROUGH NOGGIN , THEN AVOID CONTACT WITH CABLE BY FIXING SCREWS.
BETTER PRACTISE 2 LOOP UNDER NOGGIN AND USE MECHANICAL
PROTECTION SUCH AS CABLE CAPPING 2 PROTECT CABLES FROM PLASTER MAKING GOOD.
IT IS OF COURSE ASSUMMING THAT THE SOCKET YOU R COMUNG OFF
IS IN FACT ON THE RING MAIN. U CAN HAVE A MAX OF 1 TWIN SOCKET
SPURRED OFF THE RING.
OF COURSE IF YOUR INTENTIONS OF WIRING SOCKETS IS AN ALTERATION TO THE RING MAIN OR A NEW ONE U WOULD NEED TO GET
A REGISTERED LEKIE IN
