I am proposing to put an en suite in our large upstairs bedroom of a dormer bungalow. There is a bathroom and separate toilet downstairs and the toilet waste pipe goes directly under the floor and presumely into the sewage drain. There is no vent pipe either inside or outside the property.
The property was built 1962. I have been under the floor and the waste pipe is the 4 inch clay type. Because of the position I will be able to build the en suite I will have to use a macerator to remove the waste. My question is can the waste pipe from the macerator be connected into the plastic pipe at the rear of the downstairs toilet where it leads into the clay pipe? I understand that an AAV should be fitted into the pipework close to the macerator.
Thanks in anticipation
