I am replacing a single power point with a double. However, the wires on the ring-main are too short by about 3 inches to where I need the point. Is there anyway to extend these without fitting a junction box or replacing the whole strip of wire?

You could use connecting block for that put you would have to use insulation tape on the live wires?
