raising floor in loft

by manc dan » Sat May 21, 2011 9:11 pm

I have had insulation put down and want to raise the joist, so i can put a floor down, but not sure what to get or how to do it.
I also have wood coming from the roof to the joists diagonally, and want to remove these for more space, but dont know how to strengthen the roof, when i remove them

Thanks

DAN

manc dan,
You need advice from a structural engineer - do not remove bracing timbers until you have done this.
