My neighbours wall ( a bungalow) is built up the the boundary line.
My garage is attached to this wall and the bungalow wall forms one of the garage walls.
I want to build above and behind the garage creating a bedroom above the garage and a two storey extension behind the garage. How do I build right up to the bungalow wall? (I don't want a gap)
I need to get the foundations close to the bungalow foundations otherwise I will end up with a gap and nothing more that a very think room.

you will need planning consent first,But you will need to consult and arrange plans to be drawn with an architect.He is the best person to advise you in this situation.
If your building above your garage the building inspector will require to see the foundation exposed,to see if its thick enough to take the weight
