Hey I need some advice please. I need to fill a hole in a ceiling were the 4inch soil pipe goes through the ceiling. All the way around the pipe in a hole about 3/4inch bigger than the pipe. Any one got any ideas on the best way to fix this? Thanks for any help.

you will need plasterboard and drywall adhesive.
Measure and cut a square bit of plasterboard a bit larger than the hole.
Score the plasterboard down the middle and snap it in half.
Drill the cut board and fix string through it.
Mix and lay the adhesive around the inside of the hole.
Bend the plasterboard so it fits inside the hole, and use the string to hold the plasterboard tight against the adhesive.
when set cut of the string and use the dry wall to build out the thickness to the required depth, and plaster smooth with polyfiller or finish plaster
