When designing a new kitchen, how close can a cooking appliance be sited to a window ? I know what the regs say, but i need to know if there is a industry common standard.

i have never heard of a gas regulation that states the distance from a window, are you comparing this to boiler flue regulations?

Your're quite right, there isn't any regulations that state a distance that should be adhered to when fitting a gas cooking appliance in relation to a window. What would be really helpful if i could find out if there is an industry standard that everybody works to. I have an issue in work that i am trying to resolve, and iam being told that a gas range cooker could be installed in line with a window behind it.

Thanks in advance
