Drilled new Joists in wrong place Ask questions and find answers to many subjects relating to electrics and electrical work

Can anyone please help. I'm wiring my own extension (I'm an electrician by trade but have been out of it for a few years) and have drilled the new joists in the the wrong place insead of the regulation zone between 0.25 and 0.4 the span. What can i do to repair the situation and satisfy the building inspector

Just give the building inspector a call and explain the situation , so he can do a site visit
It would be a big task to replace the joists , so just see what the inspector says.
