sloping tiled floor Help, advice, information, answers and tips on all types of flooring from laminate and carpet to timber and vinyl

Hi,i would like to level out my sloping tiled floor area to meet lounge floor area so i can carpet the whole area.Tiled area seems to be on chipboard flooring so you can imagine the state if i ripped it all up.Was wondering if i could put some self levelling compound directly onto tiles and marry up with lounge floor.Any advice appreciated.

if your going to lay self level use a latex compound.Or you might consider gluing 3mm ply on the tiles.
