Fitting an Electric Fireplace to an internal Wall

by tolley14 » Thu Jul 12, 2007 1:55 pm

Here's the picture. I don't have a fireplace in my home and recently was given an Electric Fireplace (Marble Base, Marble surround and Wooden mantle).

I am fitting it to an internal wall in my lounge, which is almost a partion wall between the lounge and the hallway, it's plastered and painted. I put the fireplace in position so I could see where it was going and found that my walls are really unlevel and the marble and surround does'nt fit flush to the wall.

I was going to use No more nails to put the fireplace to the wall as this is what the previous owner used and it worked for years, but with the walls as thay are, I don't know if I am going to have to re-plaster the wall.

Has anyone got any advice to point me in the right direction with this.
