No hot water for Xmas!

by kazhove » Sat Dec 24, 2011 9:21 am

I have a new Valliant combi boiler ecoTEC pro, installed 18 months ago. All fine until this morning when we woke to no hot water or heating.
The digital display reading is flashing between saying F.22 and O.4.
The temperature gauge is at zero.
Any help gratefully received!
Thanks

Hopefully this is quite simple. F22 should mean there is too little water in the system. 0.4 is the pressure - 0.4 bar.

If you look under the boiler where the pipes are connected, you will see two small oval grey/white knobs. Turn both to 90 degrees from their current position for a few seconds. As you open the valves you will hear water entering the system and see the pressure begin to rise. As soon as it reaches 1.0bar, shut the valves.

You may have to press the "i" button to clear the error code but then the boiler should work normally.
