Pivot Shower Doors

by jody05 » Mon Feb 06, 2012 10:51 am

Hi,

I am looking to purchase a couple of new pivot shower doors wondering what the best way is for installing them to avoid any leaks etc?

Cheers!

well when installing the shower door itself will not leak if installed as guided in the instructions or if done by a professional, pivot shower doors usually have a magnetic seal on the door and small lips to stop leakage when showering.

your tiling around the shower tray consider a tray with tiling upstands, so that it creates a water tite seal between the tiles and the tray, if you already have a tray without tiling upstands there is a product called flexi fix which is a rubber seal that acts as a tiling upstand creating a water tight seal between the tiles and tray.

Hope this helps you :)
