WHAT TYPE OF DOWNLIGHTS TO PASS BUILDING REGS?

I AM CURRENTLY HAVING EXTENSION FINSHED. IN ABSENCE OF A QUALIFIED ELECTRICIAN AT THEMOMENT CAN ANYONE TELL ME IF I NEED TO USE FIRE RATED DOWN LIGHTS IN THE LIVING AREA OF THE EXTENSION, OR CAN I JUST BUY BASIC ONES? :?:

DOWN LIGHTERS TO COMPLY WITH FIRE REGS ARE NOW BEING
FITTED WITH FLAME RETARDENT COVERS.

Hi

You should also bear in mind that fitting low voltage downlights is notifiable work.

Which is why I am fitting mains voltage ones.
