shower pump

by speedwing » Wed Jul 25, 2007 9:06 am

I would like to install a twin impeller shower pump. The cold water comes from a tank in the loft and the hot water comes from a hot water tank just outside the upstairs bathroom, ie it is a positive head shower pump situation.

Can I install a twin impeller shower pump underneath my bath just before the hot and cold water enter bath/shower mixer tap?

Your quick response would be appreciated.

Yes, but bear in mind that a bathroom is a special location from an electrical point of view. If a tool is needed to access the pump I think it counts as outside of zone 2 but check this. Your switch gear will have to be ipx4 if it is located in the bathroom, so you will need to consider this too.
