Fault with Living room Gas fire

by tapadam » Sun Dec 02, 2012 8:41 am

Hi,

I just moved to this property. I tried to light the gas fire. I can see the spark coming but could not hear gas sound. I am not able to light it. I tried googling which suggests opening the valve. I could not find a valve for this gas fire. Could some one please help as it is 0 degrees in Aberdeen and the central heating is not sufficient.

Many Thanka

The gas fire may have been isolated for safety reasons, I wouldn't turn the gas on and start using it. You'd be best to get a registered gas installer in to check the fire and flue to make sure all is well.
