I have efflorescence or salt deposits on an internal wall that is built with hollow core terra cotta bricks. i have knocked a hole into the wall and its dry, so why do i have these deposits on the plaster???? and how do i treat it?

It's probably just the wall drying out and bringing salts to the surface. Clean off the salts and apply an alkali resisting primer.
