hi hope someone can help, i need to change the cold water ceramic cartridge on my bath tap, i can get at it but the only problem is it wont budge, i can not get a ring spanner around it because it sits down the chrome body of the unit, i have tried using a socket and strong arm, but it slips off, is there a magic spray or plumbers magic spell i can use? please help anyone, i dont want to use heat because it will damage the tap,

Hi, Have you seen our page on servicing ceramic disc taps? It may be that you have not removed the circlip.
