Hello,

I need to replace the hose on my shower but am unable to unscrew it from the shower unit as it is jammed with limescale. It has probably never been removed since it was installed in the mid nineties. I am afraid of damaging the connector on the shower unit if I force it and ending up with a very expensive repair. Is there any safe way to release it.
Any ideas welcome

Not really as the shower and the hose will probably be plastic.
Should come off fairly easy. Try using some sort of grips, like waterpump pliers. See if these will turn it, but don't apply too much pressure.
