Cooker socket change

by SWEEP » Wed Aug 01, 2007 11:52 am

I am just about to have my kitchen re-plastered and want to replace the existing cooker socket with a neon indicator type and also to change the pattress from a metal one to a plastic one. Is it OK to fasten a plastic one to the brickwork please and then plaster around it?

Sorry if this is a dumb question!

SWEEP
ISOLATE MAINS SUPPLY TO COOKER CIRCUIT.
REMOVE OLD COOKER SWITCH.
PLASTER AROUND EXISTING CABLE. ( STILL ISOLATED )
WHEN PLASTER COMPLETED AND DRY FIX NEW SURFACE BOX.
