Is Ventilation Required For my Room Space?

by Mr_Hickey » Sun Dec 08, 2013 1:08 pm

I have a room with a volume of 196cm2

8m - width
7m - length
3.5m - height
i has 4 appliances in
17kw cooker/grill - flueless
32kw boilers - room sealed
11kw fire - opemflue
6kw water heater - flueless

i have worked out that

17kw cooker/grill - No vent is required, but openable windows is required
32kw boilers - No vent is required, but openable windows is required
11kw fire - 11kw - 7kw(adventitious air) = 4kw 4x5 = 20cm2 FA
6kw water heater - No vent is required, but openable windows is required

I have worked out that i need a 20cm2 Free air vent is this correct ?

PS- there is a fan in the middle of the room does this affect anything ?

A gas fire needs a minimum vent size to free air of 100cm2 (10 x 10cm)
