Bosch Oven - Oven Still Working but Grill is Not? Help, advice and problem solutions on all aspects of home appliances from washing machines to TV's

HI all. I have a Bosch oven/grill (HBN131150B/03 ) I replaced the grill element thinking that was the problem (also bosch advised it was the most likely cause) but still nothing :(

If it helps I was cooking sausages under the grill when "pop" all electric went, The trip switch had gone. so i flicked it back again all ok but since then no grill. but like i say the oven is fine thats working no problem.

Any ideas ? I cant afford the £90 call out charge + parts & labour :(

There's really only one way to find the fault, and that would be with a proper test instrument. Guessing and hoping for the best could end up costing more than an engineer's call out.
If you have access to a multimeter, and know how to use it, I suggest you isolate the appliance, and trace the circuits on the resistance range. Do not attempt to do any live testing.
