2 gang to 3 gang

by SWEEP » Fri Aug 03, 2007 9:57 am

I wish to change a 2 gang socket in the kitchen to a 3 gang socket and have seen conversions for sale in B&Q is it a straightforward task or is there anything particular I need to know please?

Many thanks.

THE ONLY THING IS THAT IF IT IS NOT FUSED AT 13 AMP
THEN IN A KITCHEN IT COULD BE DRAWING EXCESSIVE
LOADS DUE TO HIGH RATING OF KITCHEN APPLIANCES.
I AM QUITE SURE U REALIZE LOADING REQUIREMENTS
AS I HAVE JUST MENTIONED .
I HAVE ADDED FUSED SPUR ADJACENT TO THESE TO LIMIT
CURRENT TO 13 AMP BECAUSE I HAD ONE IN A KITCHEN
THAT GOT HEATED DUE TO OVERLOADING .
