Hi All
My girlfriend recently brought a vintage wooden art deco dressing table online. Unfortunately she didn't realise that the table the height of the table is only around 50 cm and you cant use it sitting down (See picture).
Rather then send it back, we want to figure out a way to rasie the height of the table. We have come up with the idea of cantilevering it off a masonry wall at around 30 cm off the ground. However i am not sure how to make this happen. I ve found some heavy duty shelf brackets (200 kg) but they dont cover the full width of the table and am worried that the cantilever effect will mean the load at the wall will be so high even the heavy duty brackets will not hold. Also the table is designed in such a way that it cant go flat against the wall as its rear legs stick out a bit,
Does anyone have any thoughts about how the table could be fixed to the wall ?
