B&Q Bathroom Wall Tiles and Replacement of Damaged Tiles

by kentcentre26 » Tue Jun 17, 2014 11:38 am

RECENTLY REC'D CONFIRMATION IN WRITING FROM B&Q DIY STORE THAT THEY ARE NOT GOING TO CARRY OUT THE FREE REPAIR WORK IN MY BATHROOM USING THEIR OWN BATHROOM TRADEMAN TO REPLACE THE CRACKED AND SOME HAIR LINE CRAZED WALL TILES WHEN I BOUGHT THE COMPLETE BATHROOM MATERIALS SUITE FROM THEM IN 2012.
THERE ARE 16 WALL TILES SHOWING DEFECTIVE HAIR LINE CRACKS ON THEM. THE REASON THEY HAVE REFUSED TO CARRY OUT FREE REPAIR WAS MAINLY TO SAY THAT MY PROPERTY HAS SUFFERED STRUCTURAL SUBSIDENCE. I HAVE SPOKEN TO MY NEIGHBOURS ALL CONFIRMING THE REASON THAT B&Q HAS GIVEN WAS TOTAL RUBBISH.
HAS ANYONE HAS GONE THROUGH THE SAME EXPERIENCES AS I HAVE WHO HAS BOUGHT SIMILAR PRODUCTS FROM B&Q. ALL ADVISES WOULD FULLY APPRECIATED.

once fitted you have no recourse, they will only replace the tiles before installation, the comment about subsidence was out of order though, only a structural engineer can give you that opinion.
