Freud hinge cutter F14 the guide/guard angled aluminium is rubbish bends easy so thoughts are changing it to steel or thicker aluminium angle.

Problem existing guide in cm's 2.5 x 1.5 (2.5 against door 1.5 over hinge edge)
nearest is 1.5 x 2 in aluminium
3 x 3 and cutting one edge to the 1.5 size
Advice on size for safe use. Thoughts were on mild steel but can't cut out the hinge cutter section, can with ally its softer.

Hi, rather than make a new section entirely, is there a way you can use some construction adhesive to glue another Ali bar onto the guide to strengthen it?
