Interior damp wall

i have built in wardrobes built in my bedroom which are situated on an exterior wall. i have problems with damp patches above skirting level. there is a cavity in the wall but still i get a strong smell of damp. please can anyone help?

See our project on condendsation it happens a lot in wardrobes and behaves (ie the effects are) exactly the same as damp. Try taking out any clothes and leaving the doors open for a few days. If it improves you can fit vents to the wardrobe doors top and bottom to get air circulation around the inside of the wardrobe.
