Hi

When wiring up a light switch can you still use a piece of red tape, or should youget twin brown core and earth or should the tape now be brown?

MISTERG
AS IN BS7671 CONDUCTORS R COLOURED AS SPECIFIED.
IN YOUR CASE NOW SWITCH WIRES R BOTH BROWN,
WHEN A TWIN BROWN IS RUN, THEY R ALREADY
IDENTIFIED AS LIVE CONDUCTORS.
IN THE TWIN BROWN THE LIGHTER SHADE OF THE TWO CAN
BE TAGGED WITH A BROWN SHEATHING ( LIKE EARTH )
OR AS U STATE YOU COULD THE APPROPIATE COLOUR TAPE.
RED TAPE ASU SAY WOULD BE USED TO IDENTIFY SWICTH
POINTS WIRED IN THE OLD COLOURS OF TWIN RED, TWIN RED AND BLACK ECT.
IT WAS ALWAYS DONE WHEN PEOPLE WIRED SWITCHES IN RED AND BLACK.
I HAVE ALWAYS USED TWIN OF THE SAME COLOUR FOR SWITCHES.
