Ceiling Insulation Recomendations Please to Insulate Between Living Room and Bedroom

by Nick2212 » Mon Oct 06, 2014 7:13 pm

Hi all, i'll give you a bit of background first.
I live in an old house which has been cheaply converted into 4 flats, ours is the upstairs flat with the loft space as a bedroom, im wanting to insulate between our living room and bedroom, we can't pull up any floor board's so can't fill the cavity, the only place would be the living room ceiling, what would anyone suggest??
im sick of my leccy bill going from 5 pound a week in summer to 10 a day in winter!!
the ceiling is 3 metres high, thanks in advance for any advice

You could install a suspended ceiling and insulate it

Thanks for the response welsh brickie, i did think of that but I could only drop it by about 30cm so Didn't think it was worth it, having to lower light fitting and pay someone to lower fire alarm sensor
