It has been fitted directly under boiler among all pipes etc (?????? is this safe) Also means cant box in all ugly pipework underneath as will be boxing in isolatiion switch too ! As plumber has kindly chopped back all excess cable (which was long enough to put this spur in more 'usual' place i.e. up the side of the boiler) it has been suggested I have the cut cable 'jointed' (is that right word?) back together to restore enough length to put it where it should've gone.I dont like this idea as a lay person I have visions of joined wires touching each other and so on - so is it wise to do this ?. Or if you lot thinks it is dangerous where it is it will have to be moved anyway. If not dangerous or against regs etc then I could leave it where it is but just not box the pipes in . I'm not happy about either scenario really . Either ugly untidy pipes on show or a joined together main cable smouldering under the wall (or at least in my imagination it will be ! ) Any thoughts ? suggestions ? gratefully received.
