Hi. We're moving to a house with a beautiful (but small) master bedroom accessible by a cast iron spiral staircase with a round veranda at the top. Trouble is it offers no privacy or soundproofing. We thought of hanging some kind of curtain around the bannister at the top but was wondering if people had other ideas like some kind of big round shutter at the top. ??? to seal it off from the upstairs. We can't do any building work because it's a rental. Maybe a little carpentry that's all.
