We have had this boiler for 4 years.

Today it won't work at all. The light flashes green every 6 seconds like it is supposed to but nothing happens when heating or hot water calls to it.

I have turned it off and on a dozen times. Sometimes it will start to heat but then immediatley change to a green flashing light every 0.5 seconds. According to my manual it is a temp fault and i should wait. No good when the house is freezing!

Once it turned on for about 20 seconds but the pressure gauge rises quickly to 3 bar and then it cuts off due to the pressure being too high.

Once it also worked for an hour and warmed us up a little bit, but now it has stopped working again.

Any ideas what could be wrong with it and how to fix it? I don't want to have to call an engineer or get a new boiler of whatever if it is something I can fix myself.

Today I wake up to a red flashing light every 0.5 seconds.

Is there anything I can do or check before calling a plumber?

Turned out to be the pump head. Replaced and now working fine :)
