Hi, i have 2 un-treated oak worktops & will join them with glue & biscuits plus some extra battens underneath. Should i mask off the areas i will be jointing to save the Danish oil getting on these parts & making a bad joint. ?? Or will wood glue still work after i put Danish oil on the work tops. Naturally i will treat the tops a few days before with many coats on both sides 7 let soak in.

Other than areas of the worktops you will never be able to get to again,dont treat them until they are joined. There is no point whatever in taking a risk that the joint will not be waterproof.
