Best Methods for Removing and Replacing Fascias

by Wind Gatherer » Sun Oct 26, 2014 7:47 pm

I'm working on a 1930s house, the soffits are mostly 100% but quite a lot of the top of the fascias are shot. I attach several pictures you can see the nails in some of them. How do I go about removing the fascias? What type of timber from Wickes would be suitable to replace them? I'll leave the edge square boards no profile on it. I've put the photos of fascias on Photo Bucket see , http://s807.photobucket.com/user/EarthT ... %20Fascias
Cheers.

I would replace them with PVC, then you wont have maintenance issues in the future. You can actually get the Ogee pattern that your existing fascias have in PVC, so they will look very similar.
