Ardex FA20 Floor Levelling Compound - Has Anybody Used This?

by Buffon » Wed Feb 11, 2015 10:15 pm

Hello,

I need to level out a dip in a t&g chipboard floating floor before laying a laminate covering, and have been recommended to use Ardex FA20 floor levelling compound:

I'm just wondering whether anybody has any experience with this product, and can tell me whether it has any 'self-levelling' properties or whether it needs the skills of a plasterer to trowel it to an acceptable finish?

I haven't used this before and am thinking it would be good to know what it's properties are before I pour it out over the floor and then start to panic!

Thanks for any thoughts.

Just mix as per instructions on the bag and tip a little at a time into the dip area. Float lightly over with a steel float and drop a level on the area from time to time to make sure the dipis full. Dont be scared of it,just dont tip gallons of it down in one go.

We prefer to use Flexiplus from Everbuild which is much more easily managed You can see this below and find out even more about it from the Everbuild website in the link below that.
