Bath Hot Water not Very hot but Sink Taps High Temperature?

by Matthangzhou » Mon Mar 02, 2015 9:13 am

Hi everyone. I have some limited diy knowledge and like to get stuck in when I can however I'm not sure if this is a big problem or not.

Basically the hot water from our bath tap isn't very hot. It's warm enough for a bath (just) but the temperature from the sink and kitchen sink is much hotter (scalding really).

Any idea ls on how to increase the bath temperature?

Thanks in advance

Hi
You'll have to let us know what supplies your hot water, what sort of system do you have ?

It's a Worcester combi boiler located in the kitchen.

Sounds like an issue with volume of flow. If there is a greater flow rate at the bath, the water will be cooler. A restricted flow means hotter water.
It might be a good idea to have a word with your engineer/installer. A few adjustments may solve the problem.
