Flexible Tap Connectors leaking

by lsuui » Tue Aug 07, 2007 10:19 pm

After connecting original pipe work to new flexible pipes, leading to a bathroom sink tap, the water squirts out between the flexible tap connector nut and the flexible tap connector pipe itself. I've tightened the nuts and put ptfe tape on the thread but the flexible pipe still wobbles in the nut, which is letting water past the rubber washer and out.
Any clues?

Thanks
james

The type of flexible tap connecot can be seen here

New flexible connector required, or copper pipe put in its place. there's no way to repair these hoses if you lose the watertight seal, not that I know of anyway. Shouldn't cost much.

Hope this helps

you can get liners to put inside the end of the plastic pipe before tightening any fixings on
