Getting Grime off a Wooden Table With Intricate Carved Top

by Andrew1967 » Mon Dec 01, 2014 6:54 pm

I got a small Islamic occasional table recently which unfortunately has a heavy build up of grease, dust etc. on the very intricately carved top.

I'm wondering if anyone has any ideas on how to completely remove this? I've tried using toothpicks (!) and cotton buds, which has shifted a lot of gunk, but there's still a lot of grease left.

Thanks if anyone has any useful advice!

Hi Andrew,
I think that we have just the product - it's a water based cleaner called Grime Go:

It should remove all the grime and grease with causing any damage. If you apply it, leave it for a minute or two to act and then remove with a soft brush or possible even a cloth, you should get most of it off. After this, you might need to get that harder to get to spots with a cotton wool bud.
