Boxing around soil stack

by simant » Tue Aug 07, 2007 3:23 pm

This is probably a daft question, but is there any requirement for an internal soil stack to be boxed in? I am installing a washing machine into what used to be our airing cupboard. The machine will just fit, but only if I remove the boxing from the stack. Can I do this? Guidance would be very much appreciated.

Yes you can remove the boxing, there's no regulations for boxing in soil stacks. They are boxed in because they're not the nicest things to look at
