Is osmo polyx floor oil suitable for protecting external decking? Ask questions and find answers on all your decking problems and issues

We have just installed some decking and need to protect it. We were wondering whether Osmo Polyx Oil would do the job. We have some left over from our new flooring and thought we might as well use that rather than buy new. We can't find anything about application on external wood. Can anyone help? Thanks.
