Hi
We've been doing a massive refurb to our house and have the living room/dining room/hallway to put flooring on. They have old parquet, which, as much as we wanted to repair is in too much of a bad state to deal with. (All the tiles are loose, a lot are broken and we're missing a lot).
We are hoping to cover it with laminate and/or wooden flooring as it would be a lot cleaner due to these areas being high traffic.
What would be the best way to cover it? I've seen people say put plastic down first, others saying fibreboard underlay and others to remove the whole flooring. (This would be a last option).
I've added a picture just as an example.
Many thanks
