Potterton Suprima 50L

Post by jlc » Mon Aug 06, 2012 11:50 am

Hi

Our boiler is a Potterton Suprima 50L. It's developed a problem with recurring "lockout" where we need to press the reset button. It clearly shouldn't do this so just wondering if anyone has any ideas about what might cause this? Someone suggested it could be caused by string winds blowing down the external ventilation tube?

Any ideas welcome!

It could be one or a mixture of many problems, wind blowing down the flue is only a guess and very unlikely. The best bet if you want it sorted quickly is to get a Gas Safe Registered engineer to take a look.

Thanks for the reply. I'll get an engineer round asap

Incidentally, if the timer and/or thermostat are malfunctioning, could this cause the problem too?
