Hi
Used to have a Stuart Turner 1.8bar power shower pump which died after 8 years. This powered one shower and until it died gave us no trouble. This was installed with a feed from the cold water tank in the loft and a feed via a warix flange from the hot water tank.
This pump was replaced (no real change to pipework, just adjusted final location for the connections to the pump) by a Salamander RSP50 (1.5bar), which is now drawing lots of air from the hot feed and I am at a loss as to why.
Before I strip the flange out of the hot tank and start troubleshooting does anyone have any idea why?
I must admit after running a pump on the same system for so long with no problems I have been surprised by the large amount of air that seems to be coming through the system now - you can hear it rushing through the pipework when showering and sometimes it seems to be forming airlocks as the shower goes cold (cured by turning it off for a couple of minutes and then re-starting it).
Any pointers would be appreciated!!
